RGV Startup Week 2026 Opens RSVPs for Third Annual Event, Set for April 24–May 1
RGV Startup Week announced on Monday, January 26, that RSVPs are officially open for the 2026 event, marking the third annual edition of the region’s largest entrepreneurship gathering. Taking place April 24 through May 1, 2026, the event continues its exponential growth, solidifying its role as a regional checkpoint for innovation, talent, and startup momentum across the Rio Grande Valley.
What began as a bold experiment has quickly evolved into a multi-day, multi-city celebration that brings together founders, students, small business owners, investors, creatives, and ecosystem builders for a full week of talks, workshops, pitch events, and community-driven programming.
RGV Startup Week is co-organized by the Brownsville Community Improvement Corporation (BCIC) and the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley Entrepreneurship and Commercialization Center (UTRGV ECC), alongside a growing network of partners committed to strengthening the region’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Organizers shared that speaker selection is currently underway, with announcements related to keynote speakers, sessions, and flagship events to be released in the coming weeks. Early RSVPs ensure participants receive updates as the program continues to take shape.
In 2025, RGV Startup Week experienced record-breaking growth, welcoming 1,850 registrants and featuring 168 speakers across 95 sessions, totaling 123 hours of programming. The event reached more than 403,000 unique social media accounts, generated 3.56 million views of RGV Startup Week content, and streamed over 40,000 minutes of video, doubling watch time from the previous year. These numbers reflect increased attendance and a rapidly expanding regional audience engaged with entrepreneurship content year-round.
RGV Startup Week has become a platform where new ventures emerge, existing businesses level up, and cross-border conversations take place. Designed to reflect the Valley itself, culturally rich, binational, and community-driven, each edition builds on the last, bringing more voices to the table and expanding what’s possible for founders and future founders alike.
Community members, students, entrepreneurs, and partners are invited to RSVP now and be part of RGV Startup Week 2026 as new announcements roll out in the months ahead.
